Tornado Replanting Campaign
Nashville Tree Foundation’s ReLeaf 2020 campaign will raise $1 million to replant 10,000 trees in local communities decimated by Nashville’s devastating March 3 tornado, including North Nashville, Germantown, East Nashville, Donelson, Hermitage and communities in Wilson and Putnam Counties.

Ways to support ReLeaf 2020
Nashville Tree Foundation is launching the REleaf 2020 kickoff event this october.
ReLeaf 2020 is a revival of the first ReLeaf campaign, which Nashville Tree Foundation launched following the tornado of 1998. That effort, led by the organization’s founders including Betty Brown and Eleanor Willis, resulted in Nashville Tree Foundation helping bring devastated neighborhoods back to life by replanting more than 6,700 trees over three years.
The campaign kick-off event, originally scheduled for March, will now take place on Saturday, October 17th with a ceremonial tree planting with Mayor John Cooper and North Nashville residents at Robert Churchwell Museum Magnet Elementary School.
Nashville Tree Foundation encourages all those interested in supporting ReLeaf 2020 to make a donation or sign up for a tree planting event. Individuals and corporations that wish to sponsor the effort can contact Nashville Tree Foundation Executive Director Andrew Bell at andrew@nashvilletreefoundation.org.
