Planned Giving

A Legacy that Lives Forever

Making a planned gift is the perfect way to show your love and support for Nashville’s canopy, while accommodating your own personal, financial, estate-planning, and philanthropic goals. With smart planning, you have the opportunity to leave a legacy that lasts generations. Nashville Tree Foundation has options suitable for all supporters and we’re happy to work with you to assist or discuss your personal objectives.

Wills & Bequests

The easiest way to leave a lasting impact is through a bequest or a will commitment to be distributed by your estate after passing. A bequest may be a specific piece of property, sum of money, or a portion of your estate. Most people make a bequest when their Wills are drawn, and these bequests may result in significant tax savings.

Estate Planning

Nashville Tree Foundation has a number of different options for people who are interested in planned giving through their estate. If you wish, our team can discuss options with your estate or tax advisors to explore these options.

NTF as a Beneficiary

If you have a life insurance policy that is no longer needed to provide for dependents, you have the option to make Nashville Tree Foundation the beneficiary. Other options include making NTF the beneficiary or owner of a fully paid policy. Some assets, such as IRAs, Keogh Plans, and other qualified retirement plans, do not pass directly through your will and will require you to name a beneficiary. Nashville Tree Foundation can be an option in many of these situations.
