You are eligible to have a free tree planted in your yard on Releafing Day 2021
Nashville Electric Service and the Nashville Tree Foundation are teaming up to plant FREE TREES in north Nashville. We will plant a 6’ tall tree in the front yard of your home on Saturday, November 20, 2021.
Choose between 3 tree species:
October Glory Red Maple
Upright to oval shape deciduous shade tree, grows to 40-50 feet tall. Green leaves that turn a brilliant orange and red in the fall. Must have adequate space in your yard for this tree.
Sweetbay Magnolia
Multi-stemmed or single trunk large shrub to small tree. Evergreen to semi-evergreen. Leaves are shiny green and silvery underneath. Flowers occur sporadically from late spring into summer. White cupped-shaped flowers have a sweet lemon fragrance. Adaptable to wet sites.
Yoshino Cherry
The Iconic flowering cherry tree that is planted around the Tidal Basin in Washington, DC and around Nashville. Flowers are light pink in bud then fade to white when they open in mid to late March. 15-20 feet tall and wide but can be pruned to maintain smaller size.
